Colleen & Matt’s Wedding

We love all the personal touches at this Wedding. Colleen and Matt are such a wonderful couple and we have really enjoyed getting to know them. Colleen is a cousin of a past groom and so we got to meet her and her amazing family a while back. Dayton & I  met up with Colleen at the church for getting ready photos before the ceremony. It was really sweet to see Colleen’s Mom and sisters all together helping her get ready to walk down the aisle. The ceremony was beautiful, it was held at one of our favorite churches Our Lady of Lourdes. Following the ceremony we went to Forest Park in a little secluded part for photos of these two. They were so sweet to each other and we had so much fun photographing them! They started a photo tradition of Matt holding Colleen above his head and we had to make sure we got a photo of that. Even with the limitations of Colleen’s beautiful dress and Matt’s suit, they made it happen!

The reception was at The Carmel Room in Down Town Saint Louis. I still remember meeting with Colleen and her Mom and hearing all about the amazing reception location. They toured it before it was finished and showed us a video on their phone of their walk through. I am so happy they were able to look past the construction and choose that space. The Carmel Room was perfect! All of the details from their amazing flowers on each table to the bread pudding and the place cards with chocolate, it all turned out perfect. One of our favorite things about The Carmel Room is the roof access that we took advantage of to capture some more beautiful photos of this sweet couple. It was fun too when we were wrapping up and Busch Stadium lit off a few fire works for the Cardinals win. We had such a great time with these two and are so happy we were there to capture their day.
